A Minnesota public school is shutting down due to a flu outbreak.
According to KARE 11, Wabasso Public School is closed Thursday and Friday to allow students to rest...and to prevent spreading the illness any further.
Superintendent Wade McKittrick made the announcement below, saying that on Monday, 53 students and 9 staff members were sick. By Wednesday, that number rose to 74.
Those 74 students at the Wabasso school, which is southwest of the Twin Cities, makes up about 20% of the school's population.
