Minneapolis' wine scene is being recognized as being "one of the best" in the United States.

There are over 70 Minnesota wineries, so that speaks volumes in and of itself. Our state is unique in that many grapes are newer varieties, having been developed in the 1900s, like Marquette, Frontenac, and La Crescent grapes.
"They shouldn't taste like Pinot and Cabernet," Minneapolis-based certified sommelier Leslee D. Miller and owner of wine consulting firm Amusee told Wine Enthusiast. "They have their own flavor."
The publication notes Troubadour Wine Bar, Trapeze, and Haskell's Wine Bar as being some of the top destinations to sip wine in the city.
