MN Teacher Of The Year Took A Knee Before President At Nat'l Championship

A former Minnesota Teacher of the Year who made headlines in 2018 when she snubbed a visit to the White House continued her protest against the Trump Administration at the NCAA college football national championship game on Monday.
Kelly Holstine, formerly an English teacher at the Tokata Learning Center in Shakopee, took a knee during the national anthem before the game between LSU and Clemson, during which time the president was on the field.
"I chose to kneel as a way to stand up for marginalized and oppressed people," Holstinetold BMTN, with images from the event showing she appeared to be the only one kneeling.
