Xcel Energy Center Has New Bag Restrictions For Concerts

Be prepared for new, strict bag requirements before you head to the X.

According to Bring Me The News, the Xcel Energy Center announced their security guidelines for Wild games will now apply to all events at the venue.

Effective October 15, the new restrictions mean that you can only bring the following with you:

  • Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a clear and resealable plastic storage bag no bigger than one gallon.
  • Small bags like a clutch purse the size of a hand with or without a handle or strap, no bigger than 5" x 8".

If you arrive with a bag bigger than what their guidelines allow, you'll have to leave it with the arena's drop-off service.

Re-entry will also not be allowed under any circumstance, including after leaving to smoke a cigarette.

Xcel Energy Center Vice President and General Manager Jack Larson says the security policy changes were made to promote a safer, more enjoyable environment for events.
