Halsey gave Minneapolis somewhat of a shoutout during her performance on Saturday Night Live, but the story behind it is kind of messed up.
Halsey appeared to have put her ex, G-Eazy, on blast for cheating in her emotional performance of "Without Me" on Saturday night. The "writing on the wall" lists various cities where "I cheated," including right here in Minneapolis. The cheater apologizes to Ashley, which is Halsey's given name.
The singer has kept pretty quiet about their breakup, only saying (via TMZ ), "The biggest lesson I learned was to make art, not headlines ... because it can become quite easy, in the social media generation, to go from being a musician to becoming a personality."
