I'm Obsessed With These Cutting Boards at the Minnesota State Fair

There's something oddly satisfying to me about cutting boards. I'm not sure what it is...maybe it's my inner Martha Stewart that's thirsty for some new homewares.

Needless to say, I've stopped by the cutting board booth at least 5 times so far at the Minnesota State Fair, which is located on the west side of Nelson Street between Dan Patch and Carnes avenues. If you make your way to the Cities 97.1 booth in Carousel Park, you'll find it nearby.

Here's what I really love about them, though: the Corian and solid surface boards come in just about any shape you want at a size that fits your budget. I think they're reasonably priced. A mini board is about $14 and would work perfectly as a cheese serving plate.

If you're a dog lover, you'll probably find the shape of your breed like I did. They also have other animals like fish, pigs, bears, hippos, horses, and cats, along with miscellaneous shapes like cacti, palm trees, hearts, teeth, lighthouses, seashells, and more.

I bought one for myself (a medium chihuahua-shaped board that cost me around $25), as well as for my sister and mom. I'm not saying what I got them on here, because they are Christmas presents and I know they'll be reading this. :)

Pro shopping tip: weak Wifi at the fair is making some booths' credit card machines shut down, so if you don't have a lot of cash on hand, do your Christmas shopping early in the day. And some booths, like Alexander's, will even hold your merch for you in a safe place until you're done for the day.

In case you're still wondering where on the fairgrounds this booth is, here's a map from mnstatefair.org
