Minnesota Takes The Title Of 'Worst Winters In America'

Ice and snow

If you've been around town at all these past few weeks, you'd be hard pressed to disagree with this. Thrillist ranked all 50 states by how horrible winters are, with criteria including weather patterns, average temperatures, and driving conditions.

Drum roll please... Minnesota came out as having the worst winters in the nation. A few of the reasons why we took the top spot are:

  • Some areas of the state get up to 170 inches of snow
  • The temp drops to -60F
  • We can get frostbite within 5 minutes

Between the teeth chattering cold and the nearly foot of snow we've gotten over the last 48 hours, it's nice to have a trophy to at least brag about! Now excuse us while we try to dig ourselves out before June
