Minnesota Ranks Surprisingly High On List Of Countries Worst Drivers

Posted by: @mdanielsradio

What ever happened to Minnesota nice? According to QuoteWizard we are home to some of the worst drivers in the country coming in at 6th place. The data compiled looked at accidents and fatalities, as well as driving infractions such as speeding, DWIs and traffic citations.

Minnesota was placed at 6th place on a per capita basis. However on the upside this is better than last year, when the state was the 2nd worst in the country.

Our Midwestern neighbors to the east, Michigan had the best drivers in 2018.

Perhaps one explanation as to why we scored so poorly may come from the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety. The report shows that there were 9,545 tickets handed out in Minnesota last year, a 30 percent rise on the year before and more than 450 percent more than in 2012.
