It's not the easiest to find but for those who can, this Minneapolis beach is quite the hidden gem. Insider found this HIDDEN BEACH in Minneapolis as part of its "What to do this summer" search. The hidden beach is very popular among locals that know about it.
Found on the east side of Cedar Lake, but accessing it requires a jaunt down a dirt path, via a dead-end street in the Kenwood neighborhood.
Also formerly a nude beach it is also home to a mud put, so you know... i'm sure ones imagination can run wild with that one. Unfortunately this has led to complaints about drinking and drugs on the beach, bringing quite the unfavorable reputation to the area. Thankfully efforts have been made as of recent to make this a more family friendly spot with more police patrols and frequent clean-up activities.
This sounds like a fun spot none-the-less to check out this summer if you're in to trying something new and exciting in our own backyard.
