After a slew of warnings that have circulated on social media, Disney issued an official seizure warning for Incredibles 2.
A scene in the hit sequel contains flashing/ strobe light effects, which can cause seizures for some epileptic viewers. On Friday, Disney asked theaters showing the movie to include such a warning. This is being called an "unprecedented" move by the company. This came after the Epilepsy Foundation spoke about the issue, and a started a petition calling for Disney to include a visual warning about the lights.
Viewers are warned the lights can also affect people who suffer from migraines or have other conditions causing them to be photosensitive.
A statement from Disney reads, "Incredibles 2 contains a sequence of flashing lights, which may affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photo sensitivities."
