Many Are Upset With JT's Subtle Reference To Janet Jackson

For some his appearance at the Super Bowl this year was controversial, due to his last halftime performance in 2004 with Janet Jackson. Jackson's top came off and her breast was revealed, while Timberlake sang the line "Bet I'll have you naked by the end of this song" from "Rock Your Body."

It was later deemed a "wardrobe malfunction" and sparked major changes to FCC regulations. Many people though felt that the incident now known as "Nipplegate" derailed Jackson's career, while Timberlake faced no consequences and never apologized.

What is really shocking people is on Sunday, Timberlake sang right up to the lyric that coincided with Nipplegate, then yelled "Stop" and gave a smile. Leading many to believe it was a not so subtle reference to the infamous "nipplegate" just 14 years prior.

Many see it as distasteful and downright rude. What do you think?
