The Super Bowl Wasn't The Only Big News This Weekend

Earlier in the week, fun words that i'm sure we've all used at least once have been added to the latest Oxford English Dictionary. Words such as, Mansplaining, ransomware and hangry are now recognized.

Here's some new words to add to your daily vocabulary...

-CIO - cry it out

-Hangry - bad-tempered or irritable as a result of hunger

-Hazzle - to dry in open air

-Mansplaining - explaining something "needlessly, overbearingly, or condescendingly, especially to a woman, in a manner thought to reveal a patronising or chauvinistic attitude"

Researchers date early usage of "mansplaining" to an internet exchange between a man and a woman in 2008.

Although hangry has only come into common usage recently the word dates back to 1956 when it appeared in a psychoanalytic journal.
