"FLORIDA SNOW"... But it's not really snow?...

With Thanksgiving week upon us and temps near 40 degrees all week, it kind of makes us wonder when winter is actually going to get here. Although I'm not complaining yet. Florida actually has some snow on the ground... although it's not really snow... It's nicknamed "Florida snow." An invasive species of flower that has been spotted in at least 26 counties in the Sunshine State. It goes by the scientific name, Richardia grandiflora.

Horticulturalists suspect that heavy rains and other factors related to climate change triggered the plant’s surge in growth, particularly around the Space Coast.

Although it looks pretty nothing beats the real thing. I mean, Floridians will never know the joy of making a snow ball and tossing it at your friend... you can't do that with a flower...
