Listen to Lorde's "Green Light" demo originally "Very First Green Light"

Lorde recently sat down with Tavi Gevinson of "The Rookie Podcast" and talked the new album, writing process and her first single "Green Light"

Even more awesome she shares a demo version of the song with the working title "Very First Green Light." She worked with collaborator Jack Antonoff to record the demo after seeing Florence and the Machine. The two were inspired by the “physicality” of the pianist’s playing. She elaborated, “For any argument that is like, ‘oh, you know, she went pop,’ or whatever, it’s like, that’s just the inside of my brain, and that’s how a song like that is, literally, that’s how it enters the world and that’s how it, you know, goes out into the universe.”
