Wait what?? Now there's an app to watch April the Giraffe?

It wouldn't be much of a stretch to say that close to the entire nation is enthralled with waiting for April the giraffe to give birth. It started with a live stream in April's pen and now there's a new app that will alert you when something of interest is happening in April's pen.

A man in Seattle is taking all the guess work out of having to constantly check the live feed waiting for something to happen, he's doing it with his "active-delivery" app. Tim Horton's app will alert you via email when "something of interest is happening in April's pen"

The idea came to his fiancee' when a friend made a joke that she would pay $20 for someone to text her when April's labor starts.

He goes on to say that his initial plan was to stay awake for when the labor begins but after 3 days he remembered sleep is necessary to a healthy life. So he created a system allowing users to self report, once reports begin to come in he will verify it himself and send the email.

Experts say that labor can take as long as 2 WEEKS before birth so keeping that in mind, this app doesn't sound like all that bad of an idea.
