Couple Finds Spy Camera in Alarm Clock at AirBnB; Here's How To Check Yours

Dougie Hamilton, 34, said he found the device in a digital clock at the home in Toronto after a day out in the city with his girlfriend.

Mr Hamilton, of Glasgow, said the camera was 'connected to a wire like a phone charger' and fears it may have taken video of the couple.

He said they had only been in the flat for 20 minutes and he had been 'staring' at the clock for 10 minutes because it looked 'creepy' and suspicious.

'I took the charger out of it and saw there was a lithium battery in the back. At this point, I slid the front facing off the clock and could see there actually was a camera.' (See Photo Below)

Mr Hamilton said the camera faced the living room and bedroom and 'could see everything'.

Toronto Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident while Mr Hamilton said Airbnb's security team is also looking into it.
