Man Loses Out on $71 Million Lotto Jackpot Because He Made A Small Mistake

A Western Australia man claims he was 'cheated' out of a multi-million dollar lottery win last year.

Peter Goddard said he chose the winning numbers of the US MegaMillions lotto draw on October 14 last year, news.com.au reported. 

The Perth man entered the draw but didn't pay for 30 minutes after choosing his numbers after becoming distracted. 

While the 54-year-old said he lodged his entry online before the draw which was set to take place at 11am Perth time, Lottoland claims he tried to chose the winning numbers after it had been drawn since he paid 27 minutes afterwards, the publication reported.
