Basilica Block Party FAQ 2021

COVID-19 Update

Because the health and safety of our Basilica Block Party and greater Twin Cities community is our number one priority, we will be implementing new entry protocols. Full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (taken within 72 hours of the event) will be required to attend. Please bring a photo ID plus either proof of vaccination or a negative test result for event entry. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun event for everyone. In addition:

  1. Face masks are not required but are strongly encouraged.
  2. There will be hand sanitizing stations available throughout the site.
  3. High-touch areas will be routinely sanitized during the event.
  4. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the event.

These are the health and safety measures in place as of August 20, 2021 and are subject to change.

Ticketing

Q: Is it safe to buy tickets from a source other than Etix?

We strongly recommend against purchasing tickets from unauthorized third party sellers. Ticket selling scams on social media have increased over the past several years within the event industry, and when you purchase from a seller other than Etix, you run the risk that your ticket will not be valid when scanned at the entrance. Please be aware that we are not responsible for counterfeit tickets and if your ticket is not valid, you will not be permitted to enter the festival.

Q: Will tickets be available at the gate?

Yes, all types of tickets will be available at the gate beginning at noon on Friday + Saturday, subject to availability. Gate ticket prices are $80 for single-night and $140 for two-day passes. Gate sales are cash and credit card only, and there are no fees for tickets bought at the gate.

Q: When do ticket prices increase?

General admission ticket prices increase at 12:01am on August 23, 2021 to $75 for single-day and $140 for two-day passes.

Getting There

Q: What's the best option for transportation?

Rides are free on Metro Transit with a special code located in the directions section of this website in the weeks leading up to the event. We also encourage you to ride your bike! We will have bike racks available in the parking lot under the freeway, on 17th Street in front of The Basilica.

Q: Is there a good hotel nearby?

Yes! One of our great sponsors, The Hilton Minneapolis, or several other options in downtown Minneapolis.

Basilica Block Party goers can enjoy a discounted rate when booking at the Hiltonhere.

Accessibility

Q: What accessibility options are available?

We have seating areas for individuals who require accommodation and a clear view of both the West Lawn Stage and the Main Stage. Temporary pedestrian ramps are installed to make it easier to navigate the curb at the Main Stage. There is parking in the MCTC ramp for those that need accessible parking. There will also be ADA portable restrooms around the grounds. These areas are marked on the map located at the food and beverage ticket tents. If you need assistance on the grounds, find a volunteer wearing a t-shirt that says "Safety". It is their job to assist you.
