Minnesota Drivers Exam Backlog Now Over 12,500

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the stay-at-home order issued by Gov. Walz, over 12,000 driver license tests were cancelled or postponed. It is estimated that an additional 89,000 tests will be needed by the end of the year. This is not good news for drivers anxious for the freedom and responsibility of being behind the wheel. Lawmakers and the DVS are considering changes to help the system which is certain to become overwhelmed.
