Due To Empty Roadways, Citations To MN Drivers Going 100+ MPH Has Tripled

Roadways in Minnesota have been obviously, much emptier than usual during the stay-at-home order from governor Walz. In fact, I've noticed, that especially in the evening, many roads are empty. The lack of traffic has definitely enticed the lead-footed Minnesotan with the need for speed. But Minnesota authorities are catching and citing these reckless drivers.

Star Tribune reports that, "Minnesota authorities have cited three times more motorists for driving over 100 mph compared to the same period last year, as a growing number of drivers have taken advantage of the state’s empty roadways during the governor’s stay-home order."
