This month as part of Cities Gives Back, we recognize Abbey's Hope Charitable Foundation, named after Abigail Taylor who died of injuries sustained by a poorly maintained pool drain in a kid’s wading pool. Knowing that lifejackets are as essential to open water safety as seatbelts are to cars, Abbey's Hope has made it their goal to give away 2,022 lifejackets in 2022. Every family should have the opportunity to enjoy Minnesota's treasured lakes.
Did you know over the past decade Abbey's Hope has worked with partners to provide over 50,000 swim lessons to kids in the Twin Cities. Swim lessons and water safety instruction are an important part of the Foundation's drowning prevention mission.
