After a season lost to COVID-19, the Minneapolis Monarchs — the state's sole Major League Quidditch squad — return to the pitch this weekend for the opening of their 2021 campaign.
The Monarchs host the Detroit Innovators in a season-opening, three-game series on Saturday, July 10, at Parade Park in Minneapolis. The games will be played from 5-8 p.m. andyou can pay what you want for tickets.
Minneapolis was added to Major League Quidditch as an expansion team in 2019, finishing 7-5. The team's second season was then canceled due to the pandemic.
