Oake Attended His First Ever Live Boxing Match This Weekend!

Last night, I went to The Armory in downtown Minneapolis and did something I've never done before.

I went to my first live boxing match. A full 5+ hour card of almost a dozen fights, headlined by a World Title Fight between two undefeated opponents!

Transplanted Cuban and now calling Minneapolis home, David Morrell, Jr. defended his WBA super middleweight title in spectacular fashion, absolutely destroying previously undefeated Mario Cazares with a beautiful left cross!

It was an amazing first round knockout!! The whole match lasted about 80 seconds.

In a post-match interview, the defending champ had this to say:

“I didn’t expect that to end so quickly,” said Morrell. “I thought it would be more like a five or six round fight. However, once Cazares stepped in the ring, I noticed that he was not ready to fight on my level. He wasn’t ready for this kind of test or this level of fight.”

On the devastating knockout, Morrell said, “When I saw the opening, I took him out. When I hit him, I saw his legs wobble and I knew he was gone, completely out.”

It was a thrilling night. I will definitely be going back. - Oake
