There are multiple ways to look at this.
You could say, you're supposed to be in a "band". Make it a band again and stop all the other jobs and focus on the music. I mean, Maroon 5 just feels like Adam Levine and some people that put out a song now and then. I mean their latest is WITH Megan Thee Stallion. That's exactly what he's talking about right? There are no more bands, it's these one time collabs that get thrown at a wall and then those 2 likely never work together again. Feels gimmicky and empty, to me. Those things are fine, but we also need bands too. That's MY opinion. I LOVE bands.
Another way of looking at it is......Adam and his mates can do whatever they want, but he can also be a fan of music and want bands. Doesn't mean HE has to do things differently. BUT I'd also say Adam has a LOT of power and a lot of resources......maybe he should start a label and/or start seeking out and finding some favorite new bands that are bubbling under the radar and help them? Just a thought.
