Gov. Tim Walz has said he will be activating the Minnesota National Guard amid reports of possible threats towards the Minnesota Capitol as the fallout from the U.S. Capitol insurrection continues.
The Capitol building in St. Paul has been named in an FBI report as one of the possible locations for right-wing extremist violence ahead of Joe Biden's inauguration as president on Jan. 20.
The FBI memo first reported by Yahoo News Monday mentioned that Minnesota could be a target for extremists from the "Boogaloo" movement, saying it was aware of a "credible threat" at the Capitol on Jan. 17.
