Possibly Most Iconic McDonald's In MN Is Closing

It's the end of an area.

The Dinkytown McDonald's closed at 4 p.m. Monday after 57 years near the University of Minnesota's campus to make way for a new development at the corner of Fourth Street Southeast and 15th Avenue Southeast.

The popular spot among U of M students wasn't just another fast food place. It was a place wherestrangers became friendsand made late-night memories while chowing down on greasy food – it was part of the college experience at the U.
