In a matter of 48 hours we're going from t-shirts and shorts......to sweater weather, I'm afraid to say.
Mother Nature must be putting the pieces together because the National Weather Service has gone from thinking 1-2 inches of snow could fall in the Twin Cities on Tuesday to now issuing a winter storm watch.
The watch was issued at 2:46 p.m. Monday and is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday night. The weather service says the storm track could still change, but as of now the Twin Cities is near where the heaviest snow could fall.
