Target has announced it intends to embark on an "extensive" hiring spree ahead of this holiday season, but will be making changes to the roles it's offering in light of the pandemic.
The Minneapolis-based retail giant typically more than 100,000 seasonal workers for its holiday push, and with business booming due to COVID-19 it'll push ahead with another hiring boost ahead of Christmas 2020.
But while in previous years most of its seasonal staff would work on store floors, this year Target says it will dedicate "twice as many" workers to manage its contactless services, namely its Drive Up and Order Pickup options.
