Remember how an airline in Tawain was offering up a flight to nowhere for those trapped by the pandemic. Well, we now have another airline offering up a similar promotion.
Australian airline Qantas announced that they were offering up a seven-hour scenic “flight to nowhere,” on October 10. The flight, which will take off and land at the same airport amid interstate travel restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, sold out in 10 minutes. All 134 available seats, priced from $575 and $2,765, were gone.
The flight will depart from Sydney and return on the same day, making absolutely zero stops while promising passengers low-level scenic views over Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef, among other spots. “It’s probably the fastest selling flight in Qantas history,” said the airline.
