Residents in Maple Grove have been notified of what appears to be a young bear wandering around the north side of of the city.
Kristy Barnett, a city councilor, messaged her followers on social media Sunday saying the bear was seen near the Elm Creek Park Reserve, with multiple reports of it being in the area of 107th Ave. and Zachary Ln.
"We have been in touch with Three Rivers Park District PD as well as the MN DNR. This bear appears to be a juvenile bear that was most likely just separated from its mother," Barnett said.
