On Wednesday (May 27), Page Six confirmed that Scott Disick and Sofia Disick called it quits. According to their source, the relationship simply “ran its course.” Other issues, including Scott's “past traumas,” which resulted in a short-lived rehab stint for Disick earlier this month, also contributed to their split.
Now, however, another source is telling Us Weekly that Scott's continued feelings for ex Kourtney Kardashian also played a role in the demise of his relationship with Sofia. “Scott is always going to be in love with Kourtney, and that’s something Sofia has had to face since even before she got serious with him,” the source dished. “It’s been an ongoing thing. It just became more apparent that his family was more of a priority than she was, and his family would be his main priority over anything and anyone.”
The source also added that Scott was deeply affected by the self isolation measures to stop COVID-19, as well. “The quarantine has put a spin on things for Scott. He’s always had issues, especially with addiction, and that’s always been a concern on the Kardashians’ end and Sofia and her family’s end,” the insider contonued. “Sofia noticed that he wasn’t doing well and gave him an ultimatum, and in the end it seemed like Scott was more focused on Kourtney and his kids than her.”
Though Scott is allegedly still pining after Kourtney, the source said this doesn't necessarily mean a reunion is on the horizon for them. “Kourtney has always been hesitant about getting back together with Scott or letting him in in a romantic sense,” the source explained. “She has given him so many chances over the years after he has said that he is going to prove himself to her, and he seemingly still hasn’t in certain aspects.”
Despite Kourtney's reservations, the source says “a first love is not something you just wash away. The fact that he is the father of their three kids keeps them connected forever. Kourtney wants the best for Scott and knows they’ve been through the wringer together. She lets him in — but at an arm’s length.”
