First koala born in Australia after wild brushfires

A sign of new life has come out to say hello in Australia. After several months of wild brushfires that have destroyed tons of land and killed over 5,000 koalas.

The Australian Reptile Park near Sydney announced Tuesday that a baby koala, named Ash, had been born, the first baby joey since the brushfires.

The zoo is set to reopen Monday and Ash wanted to make a grand entrance!
