A treat for Disney+ subscribers will land on July 3, the worldwide debut of the filmed version of "Hamilton: The Musical."
The movie – put together from 3 different performances of the Broadway smash filmed in 2016 – was due for cinematic release in October 2021.
But its star and creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, announced on Tuesday that the finished movie will be arriving much earlier, launching on the Disney+ platform – rather than at movie theaters – on July 3.
