Schools in Minnesota will be closed through the end of the year. Gov. Tim Walz is expected to make the announcement later today (4/23).
K-12 schools have been closed since March 18 and the current order was for them to remain closed through May 4th, but Walz, based on the recommendations of health experts, will continue to keep them closed in hopes of limiting the spread of the coronavirus.
Expect the formal announcement at the 2pm press briefing.
