#1POGN - Beanies Babies For "Hope" + An Amazing Art Teacher & More

Back in 2012 or 2013, I used to post "One Piece Of Good News" weekly. Did that for a couple years, but you know, you get busy, distracted, maybe even lazy.

However, with John Krasinski starting the "Some Good News" show, I thought to myself, this sounds familiar. Certainly on a MUCH larger scale, but the spirit of my posts the exact same thing as what John is doing.

SO, instead of weekly, I intend to find one piece of good news each day to share with you from somewhere in the world. Something extraordinary or unbelievable (in a good way). Someone going out of their way. Or even something frivolous that can put a smile on our face.

Thank you, John Krasinski for being a beacon of joy and hope in a very uncertain world.

TODAY, I found a BUNCH of quick little moments that are happening around our country that are worthy of being "One Piece Of Good News"

Starting with......

An art teacher at an elementary school in Vermont bought a bunch of art supplies, like crayons and paint sets. Then she put together 173 "emergency art kits,"and mailed one to every kid in her school......so, Arista Alanis....you ARE #1POGN!!

Next up is the toy company, TY. You know them, they make Beanie Babies, well, this one has a purpose.....name of this BB is "Hope". And all the profits are going to the United Way's COVID-19 relief fund.

Last, but certainly not least. Nurses are ALREADY going above and beyond......so I guess that puts this nurse somewhere around Neptune because she's going above and beyond, beyond. She's Tommye Austin and she's the head nurse for San Antonio's University Health System. She came up with a way to make cloth facemasks with material from A/C filters. And they might be more effective than N95 masks. Or at least a solid replacement if the N95s run out.
