WWE Considered "Essential Business"

Florida was one of the last states to give a "Stay-at-home" order and now seems to have loosened its guidelines for what is deemed "essential business."

Even though one wrestler has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and while all other major sports have shut down all over the country, Florida has re-opened the door for the WWE to produce shows.

The WWE has been given "essential business" status allowing it to resume live shows by Florida governor Ron DeSantis, Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings revealed at a press briefing Monday.

ESPN reports that a spokesperson from DeSantis' office explained that "employees at a professional sports and media production with a national audience" were essential because "they are critical to Florida's economy."
