First Coronavirus Vaccine tests administered

The first experimental coronavirus vaccine has begun testing in Seattle.

Kaiser Permanente Washington Research Institute is in the first-stage study of a potential COVID-19 vaccine developed in record time.

What started monday afternoon will take several studies to solidify and Dr. Anthony Fauci of the U.S. National Institutes of Health says it will take 12 to 18 months for a vaccine to become widespread.

The test comes just days after the World Health Organization declared the virus a pandemic infecting nearly 170,000 people and killing 6,500.
