Should I Cancel My Upcoming Travel Because of COVID-19?

I have a trip coming up and I'm sincerely wondering if I should cancel it. Is it safe travel? Am I allowed to travel? Will my kids be ok? Will I be able to get home? I came across this very helpful article put out by AARP. Their expert stated that, “This is all going to be fluid and changing as the virus spreads around the globe,” notes Amesh Adalja, a pandemic preparedness expert at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in Baltimore. In most cases, Adalja says, “I think it’s up to the individual and what their risk preference is. There’s not going to be a one-size-fits-all prescription for travelers.”

Airlines, cruise lines and resorts and clearly experiencing more cancellations than bookings and airlines have slashed prices to try to entice anxious travelers or deal hunters willing to accept the risks. Many companies are also waving cancellation or change fees.
