Cynthia Erivo has Ariana Grande's back.

The stars were both walking the yellow carpet at the Singapore premiere of their new film Wicked: For Good on Thursday (November 13) when a fan seemingly charged at Grande, per People. Videos of the shocking moment capture the man, wearing a white shirt and shorts with blue streaks in his hair, running toward the "We Can't Be Friends" singer, putting his arm around her and pulling her to him while Grande, visibly shaken, tried to get away from the stranger.

Thankfully, Grande had someone in her corner when Erivo immediately jumped in to push the man away from her costar, shouting at him while stepping in between Grande and the man before security finally moved the man away from the singer. Erivo and their costar Michelle Yeoh surrounded Grande to comfort her as she tried to compose herself and shake off the scary interaction.

The man was quickly identified as Johnson Wen, who goes by the name of Pyjama Man online and often shares videos of him crashing celebrity events. According to E! News, he shared an Instagram Story on Thursday stating that he was "free after being arrested." He shared a video of the incident on his Instagram, though the post was quickly flooded with comments criticizing him for the attack.

"you literally assaulted her. this isn't a flex, it's a crime. shame on you!" one user said, while another wrote, "Do you think this is okay? This is sick! It ruined the experience for fans who dreamed of this moment and put lives at risk. All for pure ego! Seek help."

Grande has previously opened up about having anxiety all her life but how it was made worse and compounded by PTSD following the 2017 bombing at her concert in Manchester that left 22 people dead.

"I think a lot of people have anxiety, especially right now... My anxiety has anxiety," she said in a 2018 interview with British Vogue. "I've always had anxiety. I've never really spoken about it because I thought everyone had it, but when I got home from tour, it was the most severe I think it's ever been."
