Pet owners who use an off-leash dog park in the southwest Twin Cities have been told they need to clean it up by Monday, or it will be shut down.
Carver County Parks and Recreation Department is holding two clean-up events this weekend at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, near Excelsior, because the lack of upkeep by those who use it "has led to unsightly and unsanitary conditions."
"Conditions must dramatically improve by Monday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 a.m. for the off-leash area to remain open,"it wrote in a Facebook post.
