The question always is.....will it ACTUALLY be that bad? My guess is, NO, it won't. BUT never hurts to be prepared. The heavy stuff maybe, once again, dip south of the heart of the Twin Cities, but again, never know. Can't hurt to be ready.
Spotty accumulations of around an inch or less are expected in the southern half of Minnesota Thursday night into Friday, but the National Weather Service is watching a another storm system that is set to impact southern Minnesota over the weekend.
Right now – and this could change in the next few days – the weather service is anticipating accumulating snow Saturday night into Sunday, with the best chance for amounts over three inches between Interstate 94 and Interstate 90 in the southern half of the state.
