Homeland Security Glitch Set Off "Evacuate Now" Alerts In MN Today

We saw this buzz across our TV screen this morning.......we were like.....what the?!?!? I asked my wife, wonder what the heck is happening there that they have to evacuate?! Then, I got caught up in taking my wonderful Elsie to school and forgot to follow up when I got to work.

Turns out it was all a mistake......PHEW

Some people in northern Minnesota received a scare Wednesday morning when an emergency alert warning residents to "evacuate now" was sent by error. 
No one was in danger but the alert from Homeland Security Emergency Management popped up just after 8 a.m. for some people in Itasca and St. Louis counties.  
The also went out to residents in Aitkin, Carlton, Cass, and Pine counties.
