I've got a great idea.....have paper......then actually count up the pieces of paper, while separating by the individual who's name is ON the piece of paper. Whichever name has the biggest pile of paper, WINS. Simple. Then, again, this is Iowa. They don't get much right.
Democratic presidential hopefuls were left waiting at the Iowa caucuses on Monday night, amid problems tallying the votes.
The Iowa Democratic Party struggled with a new voting app it had launched for Caucus Day, which when combined with the complexity of the caucus process caused significant delays in vote reporting.
As a result, party officials had to rely on photos of the results and the counting of paper votes to ensure it matched earlier electronic reporting, a process that took much longer.
