Be very careful with the text messages you receive. There's a new scam that uses text to your smart phone.
It will send a normal looking text to you posing as FEDEX or Amazon with a link to accept the delivery of a package.
The link will send you to a realistic site that asks for a credit card and, in order to accept the package, you pay a small fee.
According to How-To Geek, "by agreeing to pay the small shipping fee, you’re also signing up for a 14-day trial to the company that sells the scammy products. After the trial period, you will be billed $98.95 every month and sent a new supply of whatever item you claimed as a reward."
Just remember a couple simple things. Never, ever send someone your credit card you don't know and if it seems to good to be true, it probably is. Just like your grandmother taught you.
