Minnesota State Fair Is Adding Metal Detectors

The Minnesota State Fair has announced it will make $10 million-worth of upgrades to the State Fairgrounds in St. Paul prior to the 2020 event.
The State Fair board has approved $5.1 million in maintenance work and $4.5 million in capital projects at its annual meeting this weekend.
It's a smaller outlay than last year, when the State Fair splashed out $16 million to open the new North End Event Center.
