Here's What's Open & Closed On New Year's Day

Happy New Year! Here's what's open and closed in Minnesota on New Year's Day.

Banks

You won't find many banks open in Minnesota today, with most observing New Year's Day as a national holiday. This includes Bremer Bank, TCF Bank, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo. This includes banks inside grocery stores.

Post Offices

It's a federal holiday, so U.S. Post Offices will be closed and there won't be any deliveries.

UPSandFedExalso won't be making any deliveries today, though their critical (ie. pricey) services are still available.

Malls and stores

New Year's Day is a bi shopping day, so most malls, supermarkets and chain stores in Minnesota will be open, though their hours may vary for the holiday. The Mall of America, for example, is opening an hour later than usual, at 10 a.m.

Check your local store for hours.

REMEMBER......street parking is FREE downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul
