Minnesota National Guard Helicopter Crashes In St. Cloud

A missing Minnesota National Guard helicopter has been found after officials lost contact with it Thursday afternoon near St. Cloud.

According to KSTP, a mayday call came in from the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter at around 2:05 p.m. Thursday, just 10 minutes after taking off from St. Cloud.

The National Guard confirmed three people were on board, but the status of those passengers is unclear. However, KSTP just showed air footage of the crash site...it looks devastatingly catastrophic.

The St. Paul Fire Department's Rescue Squad 3 team was deployed at 2:46 p.m. to support a Minnesota Aviation Rescue Team activation to locate the helicopter following a mayday.
