Taco Bell Is Recalling 2.3 Million Pounds Of Beef For Metal Shavings!

You know, eating out can be a lot of fun. You expect quality meals from your favorite fast food places, but not this. It was reported Tuesday that a customer had found metal shavings in their beef while eating their taco's at the famous taco fast food restaurant, Taco Bell has since recalled over 2.3 million pounds of beef to ensure there are no other issues. Still, metal shavings in the beef? Yikes! The Yum Brands chain voluntarily recalled the beef on Friday. As of midday Monday, 100% of the affected restaurants in 21 states across the eastern Midwest, northern Southeast and Northeast regions have removed and discarded the seasoned beef, according to CNBC.com

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, which regulates the safety of meat, said Tuesday in a statement that there have not been any confirmed reports of adverse reactions from consuming Taco Bell’s beef. So, if you're in the mood for taco's, you're probably safe. Still, I would be a little cautious. The recalled seasoned beef was made at a single plant location on one of two lines used to create the product. It was sent to distribution centers in Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Virginia.
