Minnesota High School Football Player Dies After Collapsing On Field

A Minnesota community is mourning the sudden death of a high school football player who collapsed on the field during a varsity game.

According to the Aitkin PD (via Bring Me The News), 15-year-old Jackson Pfister collapsed at around 9:19 p.m. Friday night during the game, during which he was playing for Esko High School.

He was transported to a nearby medical center "with a serious medical condition" and passed away shortly after.

The cause of death is still unknown, but authorities are investigating.
