Twin Cities Mourns Teacher's Sudden Death After Medical Emergency At School


A Minnesota community is mourning the death of a beloved teacher following a medical emergency at school.

According to Bring Me The News, math and computer science teacher Carol Lilla fell ill shortly after the school day began at Tri-City Public Schools, which serves the Montgomery, Lonsdale, and Le Center areas.

Lilla was taken to New Prague Hospital, where she later passed away.

The district issued a statement regarding Lilla's passing, saying she "loved being a teacher & supporting our students."

The Lonsdale News Review says Lilla was with the district for 40 years and had started teaching 46 years ago at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Montgomery.
